The Danube view through the round ship windows is lovely, and the hotel has a distinctive, stylish feel throughout. Our room was clean, with air conditioning and soft, comfortable beds, so sleeping on hot nights was easy. Breakfast had a good spread of hot and cold choices, including cereal, yoghurt, and watermelon. The restaurant is nice, though lunch and dinner prices felt a little high. If you're visiting Budapest and want somewhere unusual to stay, I'd give it a try. Without a car, the HÉV from Szent Imre tér is a good way into the centre, and the stop is about 2 km away.

I couldn't bring myself to stay even one night. The area felt bleak after dark in winter, though it might be fine for a summer visit. I found alternative accommodation in central Budapest for the same price.

The website photos don't show how poor the service and condition really were. We had rats in our room on the first night. They ran around in my roommate's bed and tried to bite her. The hotel had double-booked us, so we were forced to stay next door at the canoe club, where there were no towels or bathroom in the room, no room service, and we had to make our own beds. Back at the hotel, the place badly needed attention. There was no restaurant or bar, and our room had no minibar, phone, or coffee. The people were unfriendly and spoke little or no English. A terrible experience, nowhere near three stars.

There were drunk people wandering around, and the place felt dark, with cats all over. Our room was dirty and cramped. The cabinet wasn't properly functional, the door wouldn't close, and the window didn't open properly. Quite disappointing, I wouldn't recommend it.
