The staff were friendly, and the apartment was reasonably clean, with a few plates and cups around. Some of the light switches were in really unexpected spots, and the towels felt rough and smelled unpleasant. WiFi didn't reach the higher floors. Air conditioning is available, but costs 13 € per night. Still, it's good value and worth a try.

We were charged an average Budapest rate, and the apartment itself was decent, but the advertised air conditioning and heating weren't included. In the middle of summer, we were told AC would cost another 7 euro per night, which we felt we needed. When we raised it with the manager, she told us to cancel. Then, when we tried, she made herself unavailable and cancelling became impossible. It was 8pm and we just wanted to leave and find somewhere we could sleep. This felt like a textbook scam.

It's the cheapest hostel right in central Pest, and there's free 30Mbit WiFi throughout the complex. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Bedlinen gets changed every day, as do the common rooms get cleaned. The pillow has almost no substance, though, and you can hear some music from the club next door, which is open seven days a week. It wasn't enough to complain about. Bed Bar is part of reception, with a good range of beers and spirits at reasonable prices, plus a 15% discount for hostel guests. There's a spar supermarket on the street corner. Definitely recommended.

The apartment is okay, but it could be cleaner and better looked after. The dishwasher hasn't worked since we arrived, and the strip light beneath the kitchen wall cupboards is out. The cleaners did clean our apartment last Friday, which was good, but routine maintenance seems to be lacking.
