Budapest Heritage Guest House

A convenient, quiet place at night, especially if you’re visiting Budapest on a budget. It’s very close to the underground and the National Museum. Great place to stay.

The listing on the booking page calls it Budapest Griffin Guest House. The staff were kind and helpful, the location was great, and the bedroom was quite spacious. Breakfast was okay. A few basics were missing. There were no hotel slippers, and nobody nearby to ask for them. The bathroom should have shampoo instead of liquid soap. These are basic things that need attention.

We stayed for two days, and it had everything we needed. The location made it easy to get into the city and do whatever we wanted, with a metro station and Budapest’s main tourist street nearby. Breakfast was really nice too. The room was clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious. The shower was very nice for a hotel at this price. It felt like a personal stay, and I’d recommend it.

It’s on a quiet side street, so don’t expect a room with a view. Shops, clubs, coffee shops, the river, and restaurants are all nearby, and everything we wanted to see was walkable. There’s also a major city transit hub very close. The rooms are large and comfortable, with air conditioning. Breakfast and coffee are provided, and eggs are cooked to order. Wi-Fi is available. There’s no elevator, so keep that in mind. We asked for a first-floor room and got one, up a wide flight of stairs with handrails.
