The main drawback was our room near the main corridor and balcony. The owner and others smoked there, so we had to keep the windows shut to stop smoke getting into the room and bathroom. Even so, I’d still recommend this B&B. We stayed last summer and liked the location, service, and great breakfast. The owner is really nice, the room was good, and the bed quite comfortable. There are lots of steps to reach the floor, though there is a lift. It’s a bit archaic but works fine. Street parking is paid only.

Breakfast was extremely poor, so I ended up buying my own at the “Brunch” café downstairs. The choice was very limited, just bread, cheese, ham, and a few cheap snacks like tinned fruit and vegetables. There weren’t even eggs, vegetables, or salads. The owner seemed very stingy. The balcony and rooms didn’t look like the pictures either, and there were no flowers, just old pots with dry yellow plant remains in the balcony and hall. We stayed 5 days and 4 nights, and the room was never cleaned, apart from the trash being taken out. Everything was very dirty, shabby, and old. Noise from other apartments went on constantly, with toilets flushing and a washing machine running until midnight. Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in, and my worst experience.

Our bedroom was spacious and the bed was even more comfortable than mine back home, honestly. It was a quiet, pleasant place, and one of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed in in Europe. The location by the Danube River and Central Market was great. Andras kept in touch and shared lots of advice and information about places to eat and visit. He was very kind and polite, and unpretentious too.

We stayed at Butterfly Home on July 19-20 and felt genuinely looked after. The host greeted us with a smile and shared useful local tips, which made it feel like home. The hotel has a charming design and a warm atmosphere. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a lovely view of the Danube River. It’s right in the heart of Budapest, close to public transportation, and most major attractions are an easy walk away. A peaceful, central, high-quality stay, and an unforgettable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Butterfly Home. Thank you, Butterfly Home!

The host was quick to respond and gave me all the information I needed for getting around and exploring the city. Breakfast was great, with plenty to choose from, and the location was convenient, with tram and metro stops right in front. I was comfortable in the room and really liked the atmosphere. I had a very good stay and enjoyed the experience.
