The location was good, but the stay fell far below acceptable standards. Wi-Fi was advertised as free, yet it had no internet access. The host first said it would be fixed, then stopped replying, and recent reviews describe the same problem repeatedly. Maintenance and cleanliness were poor too: the shower drain was clogged, the bedding had yellow stains and hair, there were ants and spiders inside, and glass fragments and debris were left on the balcony. It was shared, which also raised privacy concerns. Sound insulation was extremely poor, with a loud bar downstairs and frequent, very loud ambulance sirens from the nearby hospital.

Camille Apartments is our first choice whenever we visit Budapest. We like the spacious apartments and they’re always clean. The location works well for us, with a nice park nearby, plenty of public transport options, and a variety of restaurants and bars in the area.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, including KFC, Burger King, and McDonalds, plus food stores, a supermarket, a mall, and a metro station opposite the building. Camille apartments are in the best place you could imagine, and a very clean, friendly, and pretty cheap option for a nice holiday in Budapest, with lots of benefits.

The rooms are pretty, but the wait and hassle really weren’t worth it. Someone stayed in ours past the time they should have, so we were left waiting 3 HOURS for our room 🙃. Both of my stays, 2/2, have been bad experiences.

We booked online, but no check-in details ever arrived. We were meant to get an email with instructions and a code for the apartment, but got nothing. After trying all the phone numbers several times and emailing the property, we still received no answer and were stuck in the middle of the night with nowhere to stay. They still didn’t answer calls or emails the next day. I’ve never experienced service this disrespectful and unprofessional. Think twice before going if you don’t want to pay and then end up stranded overnight.
