The place was locked up and looked completely abandoned when we got there, and nobody was around to let us in or answer the numbers on the website. A man leaving the building told us reception was closed. After driving 12 hours, we waited 40-45 minutes just to get inside. Someone eventually answered the phone, but she barely spoke English. We’d come for two nights for our anniversary, over Christmas. The apartments looked nothing like the pictures. Everything was old and reminded me of a student dorm, with furniture like something my 80-years-old grandmother would have. It was extremely hot with no way to adjust the temperature, so we had to sleep with the windows open at the end of December. There was no toilet paper, trash bags or towels. We’d paid for breakfast, but there wasn’t any. Reception was empty again and nobody answered calls, so we went out and bought breakfast elsewhere. At least they refunded the breakfast money, but the whole stay was very disappointing.

The rooms were nice, but badly overheated, so we had to keep the windows open the whole time, which felt like a huge waste. They hadn’t left any toilet paper, and the cleaning was very poor. The corridors were dark, with no automatic lights or switches we could find, so we had to use a phone flashlight to get to our room.

The apartments are spacious and nice, and all the windows bring in plenty of daylight. There aren’t enough electrical outlets, and getting the bathroom water to the right temperature is tricky. Surprisingly, you can hear a lot of street noise.

I booked two nights at DnD apartments, but the room was in terrible shape. It was filthy, with lots of hair and trash in the bed, and the bathroom floor wasn’t clean either. The manager refused to move us to another room, so I had to go to a different hotel. The room photos online didn’t match what we found. Very disappointing.

The neighborhood is quiet, and it’s handy having Mammut just 5-10 minutes away on foot. The landlord was super nice and a great help.
