Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest

The spa was excellent, and having the pool to ourselves made it especially relaxing. Even with the Christmas crowds, the hotel stayed quiet and always had space for residents. It was perfectly placed for sightseeing in Buda and Pest, with river views and transport nearby. The Christmas markets were interesting and felt safe. We had an amazing, special stay and would recommend both the hotel and Budapest for a weekend trip.

The staff made this stay feel special. Anastasia at the front desk was warm and helpful, and we really enjoyed chatting with her and hearing her insights. The hotel is clearly luxurious, but what stood out most was how sincerely everyone seemed to care. They appeared proud of their work and genuinely happy to look after guests, rather than just putting on an act.

We felt welcome as soon as we walked into Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest. The restored Art Nouveau building is beautiful, and being by the Chain Bridge with views of the Danube and Buda Castle made the location hard to beat. The staff were kind and thoughtful throughout, while the rooms felt elegant and comfortable. We also found the spa and pool peaceful, and breakfast was generous and delicious, with no sense of being rushed. Everything felt calm and easy, and we left relaxed and already thinking about coming back. A lovely way to experience Budapest.

I booked a weekday afternoon tea at the Four Seasons as a birthday treat for my partner and a friend. The reservation had been confirmed, but when we arrived, a staff member spoke abruptly and told us tea isn't served on weekdays. They acknowledged there had been a booking issue. It was a very disappointing waste of our time, especially from a place with this reputation. The service was below what I’d reasonably expect. I’ll go back to The Savoy next time, where the standards and attention to detail have been consistent.
