The reception staff were helpful and nice. The room was spacious and furnished really well, though the single beds were rather small and the mattresses very soft. The tram stops right next door, and the metro is nearby too.

I wouldn’t stay here. I rented a private room and ended up sleeping on the first-floor couch instead, because the wooden stairs leading up to the bed didn’t feel safe. Several steps creaked, there were visible cracks and splitting around the screws, and the handrail moved noticeably with very little effort. It also looked as if some cracks had been painted over. The photos and video I took showed the damage clearly. This didn’t seem like wear that had suddenly appeared in a year. In my view, these stairs had been deteriorating for years, and a business should inspect stairs like this at least annually. I wasn’t willing to use them, so I didn’t get the room I’d paid for. Management should check every wooden stair in the rooms and replace damaged ones as soon as possible. They need to deal with the safety issue instead of attacking reviewers, which they have a track record of doing below. I found the place genuinely unsafe and wouldn’t recommend staying.

The common room and kitchen felt homey and had a nice vibe, and the bathrooms and showers were clean and well furnished. We stayed a couple of nights, and it was one of my best hostel experiences. It’s a small hostel, with private rooms for no more than two people, close to the center and easy to get to by public transport. Late check-in is possible too, with really detailed instructions.

The place is a bit old, though my room was clean. I really appreciated having AC in the heat, and the self check-in instructions were detailed and easy to follow. The bathrooms were fairly clean, but as with any hostel, that depends on who used them just before you. They charged 2€/person to hold our luggage on departure day, which I wasn’t keen on.
