I was charged €90 when I booked a quadruple room for Thursday 28th May. This evening, the hotel called to say there were no rooms available that night and asked me to cancel. I did, trusting what I was told. Now I see that same room listed for €900. It’s very disappointing to be persuaded to cancel so they could raise the price tenfold. Disgraceful. Do NOT stay here.

I finally got a good night's sleep in Budapest here. The hotel is modest but comfortable, quiet and peaceful despite being in a busy city. Buses 9 and 72 are a short ride away and connect well to the main sights.

My money and cell phones were stolen, and the area didn't feel secure. The hotel staff said there were no cameras. I wouldn't choose this area.

We had a clean, tidy room and free parking during our two nights at Garden House. The staff were great and shared lots of information about the city. For the price, you can’t ask for more. I’d recommend it.

The staff were helpful with parking and gave us useful information. The shower was better than I expected, too. We stayed in Room 6 from Friday to Monday, June 16. The floor sloped just enough to make walking around feel like going uphill. The walls could use fresh paint, and the room got very little natural light. It had a bit of a cupboard-under-the-stairs feel, without the magic. For what it cost, it was pretty average, neither great nor terrible.
