Getting to the airport at the end was simple, since the host booked us a taxi. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly, given some leaflets and a map, and heard a few suggestions for Budapest highlights. We were free to explore on our own, of course. Our modern apartment had color-changing LED lights in the bathroom and bedroom, which I found pretty entertaining. The place is right in the city center, so the sights are within walking distance. I had a great experience and would only consider Welcome Budapest Apartments if I return.

The deluxe apartment matched the photos exactly. It was spacious, clean, and had all the equipment we needed, with great Wi-Fi too. We were five minutes on foot from the Astoria bus and metro terminal, and close to a supermarket and coffee shops. A very nice apartment in the city center. Thanks for the hospitality.

We ended up leaving after the first night and paying double for another hotel. The AC, which was the only thing we cared about when choosing a place, didn't work, and the heat made sleep impossible. With the windows open, traffic from the big road right outside kept us awake. We were told by email only after booking two days and while on our way that the AC was broken. They said we'd have one fan for three people across two floors. Staff didn't offer another fan or any other help.

Check-in was easy and the welcome was really friendly. The apartment itself was lovely and very well equipped. It's in a stunning spot on the edge of the Jewish quarter, which was our favourite part of Budapest.
