Garden Inn Budapest

We eventually had a pleasant stay, though check-in and check-out came with a few complications. When we arrived in the afternoon, the door was locked and nobody was around. A woman appeared later, but she spoke neither English nor German and didn’t know about our booking. She called someone who tried to sort it out with us over the phone. The room was nice and clean, but we couldn’t lock the door from outside because they didn’t have a key for it. We later noticed an hourly price list at reception and wondered if the place might rent rooms by the hour. We felt a bit silly, took it in good humor, and managed to enjoy ourselves despite the language difficulty, cash-only payment, and key issue.

There’s free private parking on site, and every room has a flat-screen TV.

The rooms were large, clean, and had very clean bathrooms and toilets. The staff were friendly and flexible about late check-in and checkout.

A decent spot for a quick naughty getaway.
