Grand Hostel Budapest

People here are so welcoming that you feel at home right away. The guests seemed happy and were having a great time. Reception gave me a warm welcome, and there’s a good selection of beers and shots. I’d recommend coming here in any season or mood. Good luck!

There’s plenty of parking right beside the hostel, and I’d stay here again. The rooms don’t have a lot of extras, but the ones our group used were clean, tidy, and well looked after. Both the bar and outdoor area have a nice atmosphere. They seem to use a bar tab, so you can settle up in one payment at the end of the night instead of carrying lots of change. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

We’ve come back twice. The first time, it was the only hostel we could find at a reasonable price after a festival. The next time, a place near our friends let us down, and we knew we could count on this one. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and feel secure, with keys for all of them. The layout is cool, with a bar open at night and a welcome drink included. It’s not in the centre, but the tram stop is only seconds away. The rooms might need air con in summer, though the trees shade them, so we didn’t find it too hot.

I haven’t stayed overnight, but I go to the pub fairly often. In my opinion it’s the only good option around there, and the prices are friendly. The young staff are kind and make you feel welcome. I love the atmosphere, especially sitting in the garden in summer. It feels almost like visiting friends to hang out.
