The room itself was renovated and looked modern, and the bed was decent. It seemed clean, too. But it was small and hard for two people to move around in, with very little space for belongings. The shower and sink were in the bedroom, and the carpets smelled bad. I found the building, entrance and elevator depressing. The whole place felt run down, dirty and in terrible shape, and the elevator was particularly shocking. Inside the room, there was a hairdryer and a single Ikea drawer, but no wardrobe, fridge or coffee. During our five-day stay there was no cleaning and not even a fresh set of towels. There wasn't a reception either, so it felt more like Airbnb rooms than a hotel. The central location is great, and the modern look may explain some of the good ratings, though to me it didn't make up for everything else. Comparing the photos and some reviews with what we found in person, the stay was disappointing and far below what I expected.

We ended up leaving in the middle of the night and finding somewhere else, so we couldn't stay here over the weekend. The room was very cold, and there was a terrible feces smell coming from the toilet and shower drains. The shower was also in the same room where we were supposed to sleep. When we raised the issue, staff said to cancel the stay on the grounds that we hadn't checked in. That wasn't the real problem we'd reported.

I'm still waiting for the invoice they promised to issue. It's been a month since my visit to Budapest, and after countless phone calls I've repeatedly been told it's being sent right away. Very disappointing staff. I don't recommend them.

The place was clean and had free Nespresso, and the location was good. But there was no Wi-Fi, and it was really noisy because the room sat right above a construction yard. It was directly below a cellular antenna, too. No AC, and the smell was awful.
