Haller Camping had what we needed for two days of exploring Budapest: easy parking, clean facilities, a calm atmosphere and public transport nearby. The staff made us feel welcome and looked after from the moment we arrived. We had a very comfortable stay and really appreciated their friendly service. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting with a camper or van.

Getting into the city is manageable: you can walk in about an hour, cycle in around 20 minutes, or take nearby public transport. There are petrol stations, markets and healthcare facilities close by, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The facilities are basic. Bathrooms could be cleaner and more modern, but they were livable. The pitches are partly grass and aren't divided. Electricity and water outlets are conveniently placed around the parking ground. There's a clean chemical WC disposal room and a handy gray water disposal area. A very convenient location, and I'd definitely recommend it.

We used the campsite as a base for exploring the city by bike, and found cycle lanes everywhere. It's also about a 10-minute walk to the Metro, while the Nr23 tram is two minutes away on foot and takes 10 minutes into town. We parked our motorhome and paid for four nights, with the fifth night free. The site was clean, and all the staff were helpful and courteous. A great spot for visiting a great city.

Getting into Budapest was easy enough, with a 10-minute walk to the underground and then another 10 minutes on it to reach the city. The pitches aren't numbered, so you just pick a spot, and some cars ended up only 1-2 meters apart. The sanitary facilities weren't good, so we used the car instead. There was also a bit of noise from the nearby hospital. Still, it's a great camping place for a Budapest visit.

There are sunny and shady pitches, a kitchen, washing machines and the usual campsite facilities. The showers were hot and good, though a little grubby. It's peaceful for a city centre site, with lots of greenery, and the prices are good for such a central location. The staff are friendly, speak good English and are happy to suggest places to go. You can walk or cycle along the Danube into the city centre, or take the tram. I'd suggest using the BudapestGo app for digital tickets, since that's easier than trying to find a working machine. Supermarkets, cafes and parks are nearby too. I really enjoyed my stay.
