Homoky Hotels Bestline Hotel

I was here for two nights because of the tourism company I chose for my Budapest trip. The furniture looked old, the rooms were cold, and the heating didn't work. If I remember right, reception charged 15 euros per night for a heater. The hotel is quite far from the center, so getting there takes a while. The breakfast was actually okay, and I enjoyed it both mornings. I'm not fussy, or maybe I just make do, but I liked it. They replaced my towels while I was out, even though they were still wet the next day, and emptied the room's trash too. I think I noticed some stains here and there, but nothing that disgusted me. The room smelled nice, and the sheets, duvet, and pillows all seemed clean. One bedside lamp had a pull cord instead of a regular switch, but it worked and didn't seem unsafe. I didn't use the in-room phone to contact reception because walking down to the desk felt easier. It's a decent hotel if you're not from a privileged neighborhood. 😉

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Only one room in the whole place looked like the website photos. Ours was disgusting and filthy, with a broken toilet, yellow sheets, a dirty carpet, and a fridge that looked revolting. The faucet was rusty, and I was afraid to shower or sleep there in case I caught something. The food was gross too, and I found a hair in it. Horrible!

We booked through the Skyscanner app at 1:00 a.m., arrived at 2:00, and the receptionist already had the paperwork ready. We signed in and went straight to bed. It’s close to the highway, and for one night it was pretty good. The beds are small, but really comfortable.

We stayed just overnight in a three bed “renovated” room. The staff were polite and nice, and the free parking and spot near the highway were useful. The room was okay for sleeping, though it didn’t feel renovated. The TV didn’t work, the shower was so cramped you could barely fit, and there was no cold water, so we had to shower with very hot water. Breakfast isn’t provided.
