Hotel Timon

The good thing is that it’s the cheapest place in the area, and there’s good pizza across the street. The furniture looks old and cleanliness was below expectations. I found a dirty towel under the bed and hair on the linen. Don’t bring large luggage unless you’re prepared to carry it up the stairs.

We left after just two hours. The place was filthy and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for God knows how long, with mosquito splats everywhere and no air conditioning. Apparently that would have cost extra. We ended up preferring to sit upright in the car at a petrol station. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The morning reception staff, a woman and a man, were cool. That was about the only decent part. The guy on the 3rd shift on 17/18 March was rude, arrogant and so weird that we felt he might slap us if we asked one more question. He put us in a 1st floor room for 80€ per night, although Booking showed available rooms on higher floors for 40€. After five hours of sleep, we felt like we knew what prison beds were like. We’ll need 80€ worth of massages after that. Someone’s bikini was in the toilet, and the towels were dirty. Luckily we’d brought our own “just in case”, and this was the case. I didn’t dare shower. It looked as though the receptionist had deliberately given us an uncleaned room because we woke him when we arrived at 2am. I’m sorry I can’t give zero stars. Don’t spend your money here. Sleeping at the airport would be safer, cleaner, more polite, more comfortable and free.

The staff were angry and even looked at us like beasts when we asked for boiling water in the kitchen. The hotel was dirty and smelled of second-hand stuff. The bed and towels were dirty and old, and there was someone else’s hair on the pillows. There’s no elevator. A very bad hotel.
