Emerald Hotel

The service stood out most. Everyone across the hotel was polite, efficient, and quick to respond. Breakfast had a great range of food, too. The hotel is right in central Budapest, close to the Danube. The building was beautifully decorated and clean throughout, and the large bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable. It seems newly built or recently decorated, with a modern feel. My only small complaint is that the single duvets were rather short. I’d happily recommend the Emerald.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of tasty choices for different tastes, and the staff made sure we had a great start each morning. They were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. We had a fantastic time in Budapest. The rooms were spacious, very comfortable, and incredibly clean, and the hotel exceeded what we expected. I’d gladly come back and recommend it to anyone visiting.

The hotel’s breakfast was good, and they offered free water and coffee. The shower was good as well. But the building work and the heat in our rooms really spoiled the stay. Otherwise, it would have been a five-star experience. We were on the 7th floor, in rooms 723 and 724, and the temperature was unbearable. Even with the AC set to 16°C, it wouldn’t go below 21°C. It just dried out the air without cooling the rooms. When we mentioned it, staff brushed us off and said we weren’t “using it properly.” I know how to operate an AC, so I found that response condescending and unhelpful. There was also a lot of construction noise throughout our visit. Coming back to hear an SDS drill going for hours made the trip stressful. Guests should be told in advance when major building work is happening.

I finally stepped away from my usual routine and tried another hotel chain in Budapest. Glad I did. Check-in was quick, the stylish rooms were clean, and everything went smoothly from the start. There’s a good bar with a friendly bartender, plus a comfortable spot to get some work done. Breakfast was great, and having a sauna and gym was a nice bonus. The location couldn’t be better. Thanks so much, I’ll come again :)
