I was pleased with the stay, around 9/10. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. A special thanks to Kevin, who looked after the restaurant and welcomed us each morning at breakfast. He also gave us tips on the best places to visit and shop in Budapest. I’d have liked more variety and some different tasty options at breakfast.

The room was the usual IBIS size, but the rest of the experience was clearly above other IBIS hotels I’ve stayed in, and even better than some Mercure properties. It met high expectations: clean, comfortable, well located, with friendly and helpful staff. My only issue so far is that they seem to have forgotten to add the extra 100 points / nights for skipping the cleaning.

6/10
We liked the location, the friendly staff and having two separate, spacious rooms. But the carpet stains were disgusting, and the room didn’t feel properly cleaned. We all got allergy symptoms and woke up with blocked noses, which cleared when we went out and returned after coming back to the hotel. The carpets need a deeper clean. We didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot.

We were really impressed by the staff, from reception to the bar and especially the restaurant team. A big thank you to Kevin at breakfast, who went out of his way to help us and make us feel welcome. Thanks as well to Szabolcs at the bar, who was very kind and helped us get a late meal.

10/10
For a hotel of this level, the price was unbeatable. It’s convenient for arriving from the airport, and there’s free parking in the hotel lot. The rooms were clean, decently furnished and equipped, with comfortable beds. The only downside I noticed was that the hallway carpets needed vacuuming.
