The location worked really well for us, with the tram and metro about five minutes away and restaurants and cafes nearby. There’s a Lidl and a market selling fresh fruit and vegetables close by too. The apartment was clean and cosy, the staff were very nice, and the price was good. Free parking was available all the time.

The Wi-Fi worked, and the location was handy for the tram, metro, and Lidl nearby. That was about all I liked. The apartment was up on the third or fourth floor, with no lift and lots of stairs, some with debris leaking through. The bathroom had mold and a toilet built into the wall. The floor creaked so much it felt like it could give way. The sofa bed was tiny and so low it was almost like sleeping on the floor, and there weren’t enough sheets and blankets for both beds. The blind wouldn’t close, so daylight came straight in at dawn. The shower head wouldn’t stay in its broken bracket, so you had to hold it, and there were loose wires dangling from what looked like a drying rack above the shower. The building and neighborhood were terrible. It looked like a set for Gomorrah, with an entrance worthy of the Velas of Scampia. From the nearby transit stops, the city center is at most a 15-minute ride away.

There’s plenty of choice for shops and restaurants nearby, including a Lidl, and there’s a gas station and tram close by. The metro takes around 5-10 minutes to reach. We were out exploring all day, so we didn’t see much more of the area. It’s a quiet district, though not a fancy one, and gives you a different view of Budapest. The accommodation was cheap but nice. Some of the appliances were visibly dirty, and the owners could put more effort into cleaning them. It took away from the overall impression.

The place is spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped. It’s easy to get to the tourist center by public transport, and Arena Plazza is nearby. There’s a shop 30 m away and an omv 50 m away. The bathroom and kitchen taps could use some small repairs. I recommend it.
