I found a used toothbrush on the bathroom floor, hair ties with hair still in them, and muddy footprints on the wall and ceiling beside the bed. Cleanliness was poor at Little Americas Westend Mall in Budapest. There was another room right next to the apartment, and you could hear everything, even whispering. It really affected our stay, so I booked another hotel.
The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, and the apartment is comfortable and well-equipped. A lovely spot for a relaxing getaway, definitely worth staying at.
We never got to the apartment. As we were arriving in Budapest, the owner or someone in charge told us the heating was broken, said they couldn’t accommodate us, and blocked us on the phone. In January, with a child along, we spent the next two and a half hours in the dark and cold, going back and forth on Viber with Booking staff to find another place. Since we hadn’t “consumed” the accommodation, it turned out we couldn’t leave a comment on Booking, so nobody would know how guests were treated. A horrible experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Avoid!
The value for the price wasn’t there. The room layout and equipment were worn out, and there was dust in many places. The kitchen was so small we didn’t cook. There was no wifi at first, and the stairs up to the bed were very steep. We had to buy shampoo, toilet paper, toothpaste, and oil ourselves. You could hear a lot of noise from around the room. The room was cool.
The whole stay was disgusting. The apartment was extremely dirty and poorly organized, even the dishes and cutlery were dirty. The shower was broken, and the stairs were so steep they felt dangerous.
