The apartment was lovely, quiet, and right in the center. There were a few extra charges that seemed made up, though once everything was sorted they came to no more than €20. Picking up the keys also meant going about 10 minutes away.

The building is well kept, with a peaceful courtyard and nice plants, and the location was good. We chose it because it was near the train station, but after booking we were told to collect the keys from another property a few streets away, which added a walk with our suitcases. The TV remote batteries were damaged and didn't work. We couldn't reach anyone by phone at first, so we messaged through Expedia. We finally got through the next day, and the assistant reluctantly said they would bring replacement batteries the following day. That never happened.

The apartment was spacious and close to lots of tourist spots, but the key pickup was a mess. We arrived with no way into the property, and a young couple who were leaving pointed us to a reception office about 10 minutes away. Nobody had told us we needed to collect the keys elsewhere. There wasn't much kitchen equipment, and the furniture and fittings felt a bit dated. The toilet seat was cracked in half, and we couldn't understand how the cleaners hadn't noticed. The bathroom tap was filthy with green buildup, and the shower head was fixed toward the curtain, so water ended up all over the floor. I'd rate it three out of five. There are nicer apartments for a similar price.

We enjoyed our stay, and the rooms were clean and spacious in a quiet area, with restaurants an easy walk away. The awkward part was arriving at 1 a.m. and finding a sign saying reception was 10 minutes away. We walked there, had to pay city tax we hadn't known about, picked up the keys, then had to walk all the way back to where we'd been dropped off. An email explaining that reception was elsewhere would have been helpful.
