Maverick Apartments

Dudo was kind and answered all my questions. I showed up without a reservation and they took me in right away, which I really appreciated since my backup place was far from the city centre. The room was cozy and clean, so I slept well. My friend and I also tried local wines at their tasting. Thanks for everything, I’ll be back! ^.^

The location is right in the heart of Pest, with public transport close by and plenty to do around you. There’s a supermarket and brunch places nearby too. The room was fine for the basics, but nothing fancy or especially memorable.

The building is lovely and the location is really nice. I appreciated all the little touches too, like outlets for different plug types and a chocolate left on the bed with the towel. Hajni was such a bright, warm presence, with loads of tips about local sights, food, and hidden gems. I already had an itinerary, but she went through the map with me, pointed out more authentic restaurants, helped me avoid tourist traps, and patiently answered every question I had about Prague. She made my trip better, and I’d happily stay here again.

The shared bathrooms can get busy at peak times, but that’s a small drawback. Maverick Downtown is a comfortable, well-kept place, with supportive mattresses, soft pillows, and good duvets. Rooms, corridors, kitchen, and bathrooms were clean and orderly. The staff were cheerful and helpful with directions, recommendations, and small requests, and their welcome felt genuine. There are spacious dorms and private rooms, a practical kitchen for quick meals, towels, and coffee and tea available around the clock. The hostel sits in a restored historic building right in central Budapest, surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and shops, with public transport at the door. It covers the essentials well and is a reliable choice for a pleasant stay.
