Suzy at reception really stood out. She was friendly, professional, and happy to answer questions, give directions, or suggest places to go. The hostel itself is clean and well organized, and its central location made exploring the city easy. The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, whether you’re travelling alone or with a group. I had a fantastic stay at Maverick Central Marker and would gladly come back.

The hostel is on a quiet street, close to public transport, and the prices were very good. We stayed in an eight-person room during our Budapest holiday, our first hostel trip together. The beds and bedding were spotless, and the curtains on the bunks kept the room dark at night. We also had a card to lock our cupboard securely while we went out. The toilets were very clean and the kitchen had the basics, including a frying pan, saucepan, and microwave. A coat hook inside the cupboards and a little shelf by the top bunk outlets would have been useful, but their absence wasn’t a big problem. I’d recommend staying here.

Anett made great coffee and lemonade at the bar, and Lucy at reception kept checking that everything was in order. Both were welcoming and professional, and the staff really made the stay enjoyable. The rooms were nice, the lockers felt secure, and the facilities were clean and good quality. I’d recommend this hostel to travellers.

The events and WhatsApp group made my time in Budapest even better. There’s a lovely terrace, a comfortable lobby, several kitchens, and they even provide free towels. I was in a 6F Bed, and the shared bathroom was cleaned really thoroughly twice a day. The bed setup is great too: it’s built into the wall, with curtains inside the sleeping nook, plus a light, charger, and hook. There’s plenty of storage, and it locks easily with the key card. Best hostel I’ve stayed in.
