We trusted the dinner offer for an à la carte menu, but the food was horrible: cold dishes and very small portions. The waiter was rude and arrogant, and I had the feeling he was drunk. The worst surprise came when we asked for a receipt. They charged us a lot for services that didn't exist, demanded cash, and handed over a pen-scratched piece of paper with unreadable writing. If I could give them a "NO STAR" review, I would. Avoid this place, they're nothing but ordinary thieves. I wonder whether the Hungarian Fiscal Authority knows about this restaurant and its habits.

The chicken was raw, and the gnocchi tasted terrible. We ordered simple food and waited 40 minutes for it, though it should've taken 10-15. Getting the bill took another 30 minutes and several requests. The waiters kept smoking just a few meters away, messed around with customers' bills and order lists, and stood there with their mouths open like brainless people. They also forgot the bread that was supposed to come with the portions. We should've noticed all that and left straight away.

We finally left after the food and service went badly wrong. We waited 40 minutes for soup, then got a goulash soup we hadn't ordered. Another 20 minutes later, the main course arrived by mistake too, and it was cold. We didn't touch it. The waiter, who looked like a tall Italian chef, was carrying recipes for all the tables and seemed completely lost with the orders. It looked as if he might have been drunk. He'd written nonsense down. We left an amount we thought matched the soup we ate and the drinks we finished in the first ten minutes. Nobody came back to ask if we wanted anything else. This was definitely the worst restaurant I've ever visited, and leaving was the best choice.

We were kept waiting an hour for the food, then found the bill handwritten with the promised 20% discount missing. They also insisted on cash only, which is bizarre on a busy tourist street. The bill includes a 10% service charge, so check it carefully. With cash-only payment and handwritten bills, it felt like they might be cheating customers and avoiding taxes. A bad experience.
