Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, the staff were attentive and friendly, and our room was cleaned and turned down each day. We also liked how clean and tidy everything was, and thought it was good value. The attached restaurant menu looked great, though we didn't get to try it. We'd worried that the only room left when we booked had no window, but it was huge, with a massive bed, a big wardrobe, a Smeg fridge, coffee machine, and complimentary water, tea, and coffee. The shower room felt luxurious, with L'occitaine products. There was also a hairdryer, TV, and safe. The room had lovely decor, and the hotel is tucked away in the Castle district, clear of the main city's bustle. Leaving our bags to explore was easy, and check-in went smoothly. The hotel quickly fixed a breakfast booking mix-up with our provider after we showed our confirmation. One thing to know if you're planning a romantic trip with a new beau: the bathrooms aren't very private. It didn't bother us after years of marriage, but anyone wanting privacy for the toilet may have to take a walk. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it.

The food was fantastic. I tried a different breakfast each day, enjoyed the creamy coffee and fresh juice choices, and had an evening meal there too. My Hungarian partner was happy with the food and service throughout. Some complaints in other reviews seem unfair to us, since staff explained the breakfast choices and any extra costs clearly. For a short stay, we thought the range and quality were top notch. We spent four nights here for a little city break while our daughter stayed with her grandparents. The staff went out of their way to make it a great stay. Our room, number 12, which I think was the deluxe room, was clean and comfortable, with tasteful decor, a mini fridge, and drinks and refreshments restocked daily. It wasn't one of the biggest rooms, but was just right for a couple on a city break, especially since we only used it at night. We liked the big window and view over the busy street each morning. My first visit was nice, but I was really disappointed when I tried to book again. The hotel gave me a card with an email address and said to contact them directly for a 20% discount. Instead, their offer was 226EUR per night, up 55% from the 146EUR I paid last time. This was outside high season, after Easter. I checked, and hotels from the 8th to the 13th were cheaper then. Booking through ebooking showed 155EUR for the room, so I couldn't understand why the direct offer was 226EUR. I've booked the Hilton next door instead, and it was cheaper. No more comments, my last email explains it: Email to the hotel on 25.02.2026 Last time I paid 146EUR per night. Your new offer is 226EUR. Instead of giving me the 20% discount, you're increasing the price by 55%. Why? It's not high season. I checked, it's after Easter, and hotels from the 8th to the 13th are cheaper then. If I book the room today via ebooking, it shows 155EUR. Why offer me a direct price of 226EUR when I can book through ebooking for 155EUR?

The rooms were lovely and the beds were really comfortable. We had a great view over the parlament and lots of other beautiful sights, with the city's attractions close by. Service was great too, and we ate breakfast at the bistro downstairs for a reasonable price. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm in Budapest. Big recommendation! 👍❤️😊
