Pilvax Hotel Budapest

The room was tidy and clean, and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. Even though the hotel is right in the center, around the corner from the fashion street, it was completely quiet. The staff were always smiling and friendly. Breakfast didn't have much variety, but everything was fresh and tasty, just what we needed. Our flight was early on departure day, before the buffet opened, so the receptionist put together breakfast for us to take along. I was really happy with the stay.

It's in a good location, but I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't want cockroaches in your room. We found them as unwanted guests. Two rooms were in poor technical shape too, with various things broken, dirty, or falling apart.

The staff were friendly, and the location is great, right on a pedestrian street in the city center. The rooms are very small and have no view, but they're okay if you don't plan to spend much time in the hotel.

We booked at the last minute, and the woman who welcomed us was really kind and sweet. She explained what we needed to know, including that breakfast was being served in the lobby while the breakfast room was renovated. It wasn't too bad, since a few people could sit there. For 80€ for a double bed for one night, the room was good enough for the price, though it could have been cleaned better. The service was good overall, we slept really well, and the food was filling. Nice experience for a 3 stars hotel. I'd come back for a few days, but probably not for a whole week 😊
