After more than 50 hostels, I've never felt so welcome as I did at Vitae. The volunteers were some of the friendliest, most hospitable people I've met while traveling. I'll definitely stay again when I'm in Budapest.

11/10, such good vibes. It felt more like staying with friends than in a hostel. Frederika is the GOAT, a brilliant volunteer who made sure we all got to the events and bars and came back safely. Katie at reception is such a sweetheart too. I'd recommend this place any day.

The toilets were dirty and there was mold in the shower. At night, no staff were around, so people partied in the common room and in the rooms, and others were disrespectful. Worst hostel I've stayed in. Stay away.

There are events every night, and the hostel often arranges daytime activities too. The staff were helpful with my questions and made me feel welcome. Such a friendly atmosphere, and a good choice if you want a safe, comfortable hostel.

My sister and I ended up loving this hostel. I booked it because it was one of the cheaper options with good reviews, and I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff were accommodating and really there for the guests, and it's right by some of Budapest's best clubs, which makes it a great pick if you're younger and planning nights out. I also left my coat and AirPods behind, and they sent them back to me, so I found them very trustworthy. Highly recommend.
