The apartment was nowhere near what the listing promised. Ants came up through the floor on the second floor, and the window on the left was broken, with sharp glass sticking out. The sofa and chairs were ripped and dirty. The butterfly decorations on the back of the bed seemed to be hiding holes, and there were broken glasses under the sink. Opening the fridge revealed disgusting old food leftovers, no idea how long they'd been there. The hand soap dripped and soaked the bathroom, and the standing shower wasn't properly cleaned. The cupboard smelled of cigarettes, and there was a very smelly blanket or rag inside. The bulb above the bed was burnt out too. On top of that, people on the first floor shouted as if they were being harassed. Street noise and the kebab/gyros smell from downstairs came right in. Not at all as advertised.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. We were robbed in the apartment, and the host's conduct made us wonder whether he might have been involved. The person who stole from us had both the gate code and another key to the apartment.

The room was unbearably hot, around 30 degrees, and there was no air conditioning. The only fan barely helped. The wrong keys had been left for us, the hairdryer was broken, and the TV didn't work. Water from the sink ran onto the floor, and the bathroom floor was in awful condition. The bed creaked badly, the chairs' leather was peeling, and there was hardly any tableware, just three spoons and two beer glasses.

We spent our whole stay in the cold, and it badly affected our Budapest vacation. I hope others take this warning seriously. I was there for a five-day break at the end of November, when daytime temperatures were 9 degrees and nights were close to 0. The first night was fine, but from the next morning the apartment's heating was completely off. We contacted the owner several times every day and were told it would be dealt with later, but it never worked again before checkout. At one point, after looking online, we began to suspect the owner was controlling the three radiators through an app. What upset us most was the lack of response while we were struggling with the cold day and night.
