These are some of the most impressive Ottoman baths anywhere. I hope they settle their disputes and reopen these magnificent oriental baths soon. Why the wait?

It's only about one-fifth the distance of the cable car in Portugal, yet costs ten times more. I can't believe it. You sit in the car and can hardly see anything, so it's not even exciting. It feels like a rip-off. Really short and expensive.

I stumbled across this elegant bathhouse, which I hadn't realized it was, while heading toward the castle. It sits in a beautifully maintained park. Another comfortable thermal bath, close to the Danube.

Those lucky enough to have known the Racz before it closed at the end of the 1990s remember it. It shut for conversion into a luxury hotel, but that hotel never opened.

It's been closed for seven years and is still shut, even though the guidebooks list it as open.
