We came here as a group of twelve for a week, and the house had everything we needed. It was quiet, safe, beautifully furnished, and well looked after, a perfect place to relax and take a break from work. Everything was tidy and organized, and the friendly atmosphere helped us make lots of new friends. Damaris and Patrick, greetings from us! We're grateful for our stay and will definitely come back. 💕

I felt at home during the week I spent here. The people were open and warm, and the garden had such a peaceful feel, with the wind chimes as my favorite touch. There's a nice outdoor seating spot too. Inside, the rooms were clean, I really liked the decor, and the kitchen area had complimentary tea, coffee, and other food.

The welcoming staff and the community made this hostel special for me. There are several shared spaces where it's easy to meet people, and as a solo traveler in my thirties I felt completely comfortable. My private room was spotless and comfortable, and the price was very good. It's also close to a tram stop, with easy access to Buda and Pest, and you can walk there too. One of the best hostels I've stayed in, and I'd recommend it to friends visiting Budapest.

Everything here was 10 out of 10 for me: the dorms, kitchen, garden, terrace, showers, toilets, common area, Wi-Fi, and location. I've stayed in plenty of hostels, and this is one of the best. If you want to see what a hostel should feel like, go here. A big thank you to attila, marie, anna and bori. They made shantee house feel like home. 🤗🥰

There's a kitchen for making your own meals, a common room with board games, and a lovely relaxed outdoor area. The place feels calm and homely, thanks to the really nice hosts and fellow travelers. The city center is within walking distance too.
