St. George Residence All Suite Hotel Deluxe

We tried the recommended three course meal: Goulash, Hungarian noodles with Turkey, and cheese cake. It was a great way to sample the local food, which was amazing, and the coffee was excellent too. Service was great, prices were reasonable, and the interior is beautiful, with the look of an old building. We'll definitely come back next time we visit.

We came for lunch, not as hotel guests, and really enjoyed the menu meal. It was delicious, good value, and gave us a taste of traditional hungarian cuisine. The venue is beautiful and worth a look, with a great wine selection and very helpful staff. There were nine of us without a reservation, but they still found a way to seat us all at a big table.

The breakfast buffet could use more options, but the friendly staff and convenient location made this a stay I loved. The castle is within walking distance, and the bus station is really close. Our room felt almost like a small apartment, with a kitchen and separate sitting area, plus a heated bathroom floor. It was spacious, and one of my best stays in Budapest.

This place feels like stepping into a royal palace, with marble hallways and fancy real wood furniture. The room was solid and about as beautiful as a hotel room can be, and it's an affordable, funky option away from the chaos of Pest, with super convenient, safe parking. Helpful staff too, especially Balint, who was awesome. The hotel seems financially run lean, though, and doesn't come close to what I'd expect from a 2018 five star hotel. The breakfast was the worst of our whole trip. I watched lots of guests peek in, take one look, and leave. The male waiter at breakfast was the rudest person I met on the trip. He didn't welcome anyone, only appeared to boss people around, then disappeared when they needed something. After dealing with him, we avoided the restaurant altogether. The towels were clean but thread worn, and the room was clean enough, though there was quite a bit of dust along the edges. We had only a bathtub, so check ahead if you need a shower. A strange place, with quirks, but I can see the appeal if those don't bother you.
