Tatra 4 Studios

The apartment itself is simple, with a bed, sofa, small kitchen and shower room, but it was clean and modern, just right for a short city break. We booked Tatra 4 apartments at fairly short notice for a weekend in Budapest. It’s in Pest, close to a tram stop and train station, and about a 20-minute walk to the centre or along the river to the parliament building. We arrived late, so the owners weren’t there to meet us, but their step-by-step entry notes made getting in easy. Good location for a reasonable price, and I’d recommend it for a short stay.

The apartment was modern and clean. Getting there at night was another matter: although the historic building has a lift, the entrance and the walk to the apartment are dark. Keep your phone flashlight handy.

The shower leaked onto the floor, which was the one drawback. Otherwise, this was a lovely, very clean studio with air conditioning and a comfortable double bed. It’s right by a tram, the underground and a shop, and close to the centre.

Laszlo was really kind, and the service was friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and stylish, just a few blocks from Margit hid, with plenty of bars and restaurants close by. It’s easy to get by transit to Andrassy utca, the inner city and attractions in Buda. I’d recommend it to anyone.
