What I’ll remember most is how cared for we felt. Everyone was warm and attentive, and Rihem, Szabrina, Grant, and Nora especially made a lasting impression. Our butler was wonderful, and the St. Regis Sabrage Ceremony was another highlight. The team managed all this even though the hotel had only been open a few weeks and Budapest was preparing for the UEFA Champions League Final. The St. Regis Budapest gave us the most beautiful hotel stay I’ve ever had. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, and an incredible upgrade made it even more special. The building’s architecture and thoughtful details create an elegant but inviting, home away from home atmosphere. Everything was immaculate, from housekeeping and room service to the daily breakfast. It was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and personalized to our preferences. The bar, patisserie, and gym impressed us too. I missed the hotel during the rest of our trip, which has never happened to me before. We’ve rarely felt so comfortable or looked after anywhere. When we return to Budapest, The St. Regis will be our first choice. I hope we get to experience that magic again. Thank you to the whole team for giving us memories that will stay with us.

We only had one night left in Budapest two weeks ago, so we switched from another “5 star” hotel where we’d been staying for a work event. The St. Regis had only recently opened and wasn’t at full occupancy, but the care already felt like it had been running for years. The location is perfect, and the renovation is impeccable. We got upgraded to a huge, beautifully decorated, high-end two bedroom duplex penthouse suite. It was quiet, the beds were amazing, and everything was well designed, with luxurious finishes, great products, butler service, treats, and chocolates. The building’s gorgeous central atrium was the setting for the sabering, a lovely event where we got to meet staff and other guests. The gym was spacious, sunny, clean, and had a comprehensive range of machines. I wished the treadmills had views, though I assume the historic architecture limited that. We had a lovely light lunch in the renovated pharmacy cafe. Our waiter, Mojtaba, was excellent. He told us about the building and gave us a little tour. He even remembered my coffee order from a brief meeting several days earlier at a small cafe across the city. That evening we had drinks in the beautiful bar, with live music and creative, well made drinks. I liked the Stölzle Lausitz glassware enough to order both champagne coupes and champagne tulip glasses once I got back to the US. Staff were attentive but discreet, somehow knowing what we needed without hovering. We stayed in for dinner because we wanted a quiet evening, and 99 Sushi was a highlight. I usually don’t expect much from hotel restaurants, but this one blew us away. The waygu was amazing, the maki incredible, the fish fresh, and the service impeccable. They also helped celebrate my husband’s birthday that evening. Breakfast came with my husband’s Bonvoy status, so we indulged even though we’re not really breakfast people. It was the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had, with top notch service. He had the avocado croissant, I had the middle eastern eggs, and they brought lots of delicious little bites, including breads, fruit, and granola. I especially liked having table service instead of a buffet. I only wish we could have stayed longer, and I’d return without hesitation.

Anna, our butler, made this stay especially memorable. She anticipated what we needed, handled personal touches and recommendations or reservations flawlessly, and brought real warmth and care to every interaction. Her professionalism and attention to detail made us feel special. She’s a real asset to the hotel and a great example of world class service. The St. Regis Budapest is beautifully designed, in a perfect location, and feels both refined and welcoming. From arrival, I felt surrounded by comfort, elegance, and excellent service. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, memorable stay, especially if Anna is your butler.
