Great location, and the room was okay. I’m giving a star for cleanliness. Customer service was very friendly when I needed to change accommodation because of sudden renovation work upstairs.
Everything else was perfect, though we had a hard time finding the place.
We had a really nice stay and would strongly recommend this place. The room was lovely and clean, and the staff were available whenever we needed them.
Getting checked in was quick and easy, and the bed was comfortable. The rooms are clean, with the essentials, and the location is excellent for reaching Budapest’s sights on foot. Good value for the price.
Room 4 was spacious and clean, and stayed warm despite the cold weather. The Wi-Fi was reliable, there were plenty of outlets, and the bed had separate duvets. We had a capsule coffee machine and a mini-fridge with complimentary water and snacks. The bathroom had almost instant hot water, good pressure, plenty of towels, bathrobes, shower gel, shampoo, cotton swabs and balls, a hairdryer, and an iron. One towel had a small mark that looked like rust, though the towels were clean. The pillows were too high for me, while the slightly noisy fridge didn’t bother me because I wear earplugs. My partner slept wonderfully and wasn’t bothered by either. The location was the best part. It’s a short walk to the metro, and Astoria and Deák Ferenc tér are about 5-8 minutes away on foot, with an airport bus at Deák Ferenc tér. Lidl is just across the street, and the Danube and tram 2 are a few minutes away. The tram follows the river to the Parliament building. The neighborhood is touristy, but our street was quiet and didn’t feel unsafe. We stayed four nights and would return. Getting into the building took some figuring out because there are several codes and the entrance is a little hidden. Reviews from other guests helped us find it, and we checked the email with the codes carefully. There was a small mix-up, but nothing serious. The elevator is very old, but it works if you’re traveling light and has a certain charm. A friendly woman greeted us, though she didn’t speak English. We saw her at arrival, Thursday around 2 pm, and again on Monday morning when we left. She asked our room number, said the key was behind the door, and showed us the little shared area with a microwave, kettle, refrigerator, teas, snacks or fruit, and kitchenware. We thought it was a nice touch. They don’t clean the room or change towels during the stay, and checkout was a little confusing. We left the key behind the door as it had been when we arrived. It’s a very good value for clean, comfortable accommodation that makes it easy to explore Budapest on foot or by public transport.
