The price was far too high for what the place offered. For the same money, or even less, you could rent a private apartment that’s cleaner, quieter, more comfortable, and better in every way. If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t. I’d give it a negative rating if that were possible. I spent a full year in this student hostel, and it was the worst accommodation experience of my life. On my very first day, I found 21 insects in my room. It felt like an abandoned warehouse, not somewhere students should live. I reported it at reception expecting basic help, but they just said, “We can’t help you.” No apology, solution, or concern. Cleanliness was almost nonexistent, maintenance was terrible, and complaints were simply ignored. It felt like nobody cared about your comfort or well-being.

It’s quiet and peaceful at Auguszta Hotel, which makes it easy to study or get some rest. The nearby bus stop is handy, and the place feels safe and is easy to find. It seems especially suited to new students at the University of Debrecen, though everyday essentials aren’t very accessible.

There’s a microwave and refrigerator in the room, and you can get lunch at a nearby canteen, though breakfast isn’t served. The room is okay, but the bed felt small and uncomfortable 🫣. The location works for a short business trip or for students visiting the University or Medical Center.

Living here makes it easy to meet people, since many international students stay here and there are activities every two weeks. The University is within walking distance, too. It feels secure and peaceful, which helps with peace of mind. Noise or danger seem less likely here, and that sense of safety helps you connect with other students.
