The restaurant is in a lovely spot by the river, and the service was polite. Prices felt medium-high. I expected better food after everyone described it as one of the area's best and oldest restaurants. The salad was okay, but the meat on my plate was hard to chew and disappointing in taste. I wouldn't go back.

The food was just okay, and we waited about 45 minutes for it even though the restaurant was nowhere near full. Our waiter was nice, at least. The place itself is nicely furnished, with a pleasant view of the Danube and live guitar music. It was the only restaurant open nearby that evening, so at first it seemed like a decent enough option.

The meat was tough and chewy, and the service was a mess. The waiter forgot what the next table had ordered and brought them the wrong dish. We waited an hour and 35 minutes for our food, and when I asked, the explanation was that they didn't have enough staff. That's not my problem. My diabetic mum waited over an hour and a half for her meal, then was offered free desserts, despite there being no sugar-free or vegan desserts on the menu. When I paid, there was no discount or even a deduction for our drinks. We've eaten here from time to time over the past 10 years, but we're done. The place seems to get worse every year. A terrible, unprofessional experience. We won't be back.

The riverside setting is beautiful and the design is lovely, but the food and service fall short, especially for the prices. I've been a few times and kept hoping to like it more. The wine was a real shock: they brought an already-opened bottle, and it turned out to be different from the one I'd ordered.
