Andrassy Thai Hotel

The location is excellent and very central, and the rooms are roomy, clean, and warm. The bed was comfortable, the heater worked well, and the staff, including the lovely cleaning team, were very helpful. For families with children or a stroller, getting around is difficult: reaching the room means passing through two huge, heavy doors like castle doors. The Thai theme isn't really there, either. It's a regular hotel in a Soviet-style building. Breakfast comes from a street cafe as a buffet, but the quality is poor and there isn't much choice. I also thought it cost too much for what you get; it should be cheaper.

When my son became ill during our stay, the staff helped us find a doctor and looked after us so well that we stayed twice as long as planned. I'm glad we were there while he recovered. It's a lovely, warm hotel on the first floor of a Gothic-style building, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and all the amenities. The staff are exceptionally helpful, and the beds are great. Laundry and transport are close by, and there's a fabulous Thai resturant downstairs. The hotel was excellent value. I'd happily recommend it.

It was a small, interesting hotel at a fair price, breakfast included. We were close to lots of the places we wanted to see, and I barely noticed any noise from outside.

We were close to many of the city's main sights, which made the location a real plus. The room was spacious and warm, but the bathroom was cramped and the elevator felt quite old. Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door; it wasn't very good, and the staff seemed somewhat unprofessional. Noise from the neighboring rooms came through noticeably, so the soundproofing needs work.
