Great.

Aunt Marika was really lovely, and the little house felt friendly and pleasant during the day. The setting was calm, and we had a good time then. But the furniture was old, and the bed was brutally hard, with a mattress maybe 2 cm thick. Sitting on it felt like bouncing off a rock. The pillows and blankets smelled horribly musty and greasy, with a stale head and saliva smell, and there seemed to be mites. Even the kitchen cloth was so foul that it seemed to have sat in the drawer for 20 years. There were lots of licks and licks, too. It was a ghostly stay. I know it sounds strange, but we seem to attract this sort of thing, and we heard and saw them. A friendly ghost, though, it didn't hurt anyone, just liked being naughty and scaring us. Every night at exactly 11:06, the power went out for a minute, from the whole street to our house. It kept happening even after we unplugged everything, including the water heater and refrigerator. We'd turn it back on and then it would go out again, several times in a row. The children were scared enough to cry more than once. Daytime was lovely, but at night it was terrifying. I can still recommend the place to brave, adventurous people, but we won't return. The ghost might, though ;)

We came as a big family of 12 and had the whole house to ourselves. It was spotless and tidy, and the owner was kind and helpful. We had a great stay, though we're heading home tomorrow.

Marika's cottage is high up, yet only a short walk from the market square. The swimming pools are nearby too, though getting back means a pretty strenuous climb. Inside it's welcoming and neat, with everything you need, even if it's not luxurious. There's a big garden with a swing, barbecue, and somewhere to sit in the evenings. If you're active, there's also a stadium close by. Marika is helpful if you speak German or Hungarian. English is a bit of a challenge.
