We had a private parking lot with plenty of spaces, and the locked entrance to the room area felt reassuring. The building also seemed almost empty, which was a little strange, though at least we didn’t hear other guests around us. The room itself was fine, with a good air conditioner, and the shower and toilet worked. I didn’t like the shower’s half wall, and the one towel per person plus a single hand towel didn’t really suit our family. There was no carpet anywhere. I stayed here with my dad and sister for a few days, then we went elsewhere and later came back. On our first night the owner hadn’t left us a key, so we waited for an hour. There were no tissues or soap, unless you count the shampoo on the shower wall. We also had no fridge or microwave in the room; both were in the hallway for everyone to use.

Everything was within walking distance, and the city was a 20 minute train ride away. We’d happily stay at Central Borház again. The room was clean and really quiet, as long as you keep the window shut and use the heater or A/C. The air conditioning does cost extra. Breakfast was freshly made and decent, though a bit boring. Krisztina served it with such a lovely smile that it made the meal more enjoyable, and the espresso was pretty good. The room maid was kind and always responded to our requests. The customer service was amazing, always with a smile. Thanks for the hospitality, we loved our stay and will definitely come back.

There’s room here for parties or events, and parking is available for people arriving by car. At the window seats it can feel a bit cold in winter. This is a friendly, clean and tidy Hungarian restaurant in the center of Erd. The waitress was kind and chatty, and lunch or dinner is reasonably priced. Recommended.

I’d booked a room by email for the second night of my Budapest visit, but a business cancellation meant I only needed one night instead of four. The manager said she didn’t care that the job had fallen through and wanted me to pay for three of the four nights. She also said I’d have to pay for the full stay in advance if I came back another time. I told her I wasn’t bound by any agreement to pay for the whole stay, and that I wouldn’t even pass by her hotel again. She chose to lose the one night I would have stayed, along with a potential lunch and dinner customer.
