Bazilika alatt Panzió Hotel

This was my third stay, and the hotel staff have been super nice and friendly every time. The rooms are comfortable, and the location is great. The view from the hotel parking lot is pretty awesome too :) My one gripe is that there’s no restaurant in the hotel. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, so it’s not a big deal.

We really enjoyed winding down in the wellness centre in the evening, with its saunas and jacuzzi. The room was very nice, the bed comfy, breakfast was nice, and the minibar was free to use. The location was amazing, with a direct view of the bazilika. Highly recommend.

I booked on booking.com at a special Genius level 3 price and paid. A few minutes later I got confirmation. But when I came from Siofok to check in, I was told I had to pay 60 Euros more for the room, and that I couldn’t sleep anywhere for the price I’d paid. They said their boss had contacted me, but that was a lie. I hadn’t received any email or anything apart from the confirmation. I refused to stay because I don’t like being sold a room and then asked for a lot more money. They said they’d got my confirmation from Agoda, so I asked them to contact Booking or Agoda. They said no one was responding. I also tried calling booking.com on their UK number and got nowhere. After a few hours of discussion, I left. They never returned my money or gave me the room. I believe they’re nice and provide good customer service if you obey and pay the extra they ask for. If there was a technical error, that isn’t my problem. They should honor the price and get the money from Booking or whoever. I paid the amount shown on booking.com. So you won’t scam me again, Bazilika alatt Penzio!

We had a great time here. The room had everything we needed, and the receptionist was especially kind, always smiling. Everything was within walking distance, so the location worked really well. An excellent place to stay!
