We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy, lovely apartment right beneath the castle. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the kitchen is clean too, with a dishwasher and coffee maker. The owner, Tunde, was very nice and helpful. We'd love to come back!

This friendly, fancy apartment is right at the bottom of the castle hill in the historic city. Look up from the stylish yard and you can see the castle and basilica. It's cozy, has everything you need, and offers outstanding value with extras. Museums and traditional restaurants are right nearby, and everything is within walking distance. Still, if you're traveling, a car is needed because Esztergom is poorly served by taxis and public transport. We visited in December and had a great time. There's plenty to do in your free time in the hills and museums, and Slovakia is just a 10-minute trip away.

We spent two lovely nights beneath the beautiful basilica, right in the city center. The owner communicated perfectly. After a whole day of travel in the sun, we were very glad to find a cold melon waiting for us when we arrived. The guesthouse was clean and cozy, and the pleasant owner answered all our questions and showed us around the city and its sights, as well as delicious restaurants. A free parking space was about 2 minutes from the guesthouse, which made it easy to travel outside the city if we wanted. The surroundings were very quiet, though the place is recommended for kids too. And there was no need to worry about nightlife: during our stay the city was lively, with plenty of places to go. I'd recommend this stay to anyone looking to relax and get some quiet rest in a beautiful city full of sights.

We loved having the courtyard for the kids to play in and for us to have coffee in the morning. The apartment was spacious enough for them to sleep while we stayed up with friends, and the fast wifi let me work every evening without any issues. Tunde had left us helpful ideas for places to visit and eat. The house was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and stocked with what we needed, even toys for the children. Tunde and Joszi gave us a warm welcome when we arrived from the US, and the whole place worked well for our family of two adults and two small children during our month at Ister Guesthouse. Everything in Esztergom was within walking distance, including the beautiful Basilica. We thought the city was lovely and Ister Guesthouse was the best place to stay.
