The room itself was pretty average, with a TV that felt stuck in the last century. Between the window and curtain, there were about a dozen flies, some dead and some still alive. Worse, the owner came into the room while we were there and teased me. I had specifically asked in advance for no cleaning, so we’d left our clothes, documents, money, and other personal things there without worrying. Having a stranger intrude so deeply into our privacy was awful. It felt like we’d been mentally violated. When I asked why she had entered, she didn’t seem to understand how unethical it was. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with high standards.

The guesthouse is right by the main road, so there’s noise. Someone coming from downtown Budapest might not even notice it, but it could bother other guests. Inside, though, it’s clean and tidy, there’s parking for about two cars, and our host was very nice and helpful.

The rooms are clean, there’s a fridge and decent TV channels, and the staff are incredibly kind. I could happily live here for a year :)
