Kastélykert Szálló

The accommodation was spacious, comfortable, well equipped, and clean. The hotel restaurant nearby serves a delicious buffet breakfast. Both the Castle Bath and city center are an easy walk away.

Room 1 had a spacious feel, and the bed didn't creak, despite a comment about that on szallas.hu. The listing photos there were accurate too, no clever photography making things look different. The owner was clear and easy to communicate with. I liked having a shower cabin instead of the common curtain setup, and the regular shutter worked much better than blackout curtains. There was a strange smell when we first entered the building, but we got used to it and couldn't notice it in the rooms. We barely spent time in the hallway anyway. The room itself had an odor because the drain trap had dried out or something had sucked it down. Running the taps briefly took care of it.

The castle and city center are about a 10-minute walk away, so the location worked really well. We were welcomed warmly, and the rooms felt roomy and comfortable instead of being crammed with beds. The small room had a fan, while the larger one had air conditioning. There was also a hob, microwave, fridge, cutlery, and kitchen gear, pretty much everything we needed.

There's a small, cozy terrace, and the bathroom is clean and roomy. The beach entrance is fairly close, so the place suited our plans well. The air conditioning worked properly. The landlord doesn't live there, and he's very nice.
