Hotel Délibáb

The rooms need renovation and modernization, and they weren't cleaned even once during our stay. That was disappointing and below what I'd expect from a four-star hotel. Breakfast service also fell short, as staff were slow to restock items and caused some inconvenience. We did enjoy the dinner, which was tasty and nicely presented. The wellness area was fine for relaxing after a day at the spa, and parking was satisfactory and well organized. The location is excellent, with direct access to the Hungarospa thermal complex. The hotel has potential, and with better rooms, housekeeping, and a few service improvements, the stay could be much better. We'd consider returning if those issues are addressed.

The spa and pools were spotless and in excellent shape. The bar was also very nice, and the drinks were very good. Breakfast was okay, though it didn't compare with Budapest hotels in the same class. Dinner was okay for a buffet. I travel to Hungary several times a year and spend most of my time west of the Danube or in Budapest, so I'm comparing Delibab with similar places and prices there. The rooms' size and condition don't match places like the Budapest Hilton, yet the nightly rate here is higher. The price didn't feel justified by the rooms or amenities, which is why I gave it three stars. It may once have been some kind of socialist retreat, and it doesn't seem to have converted very well into a hotel. Wi-Fi was terrible too, and there was only one code per room. Next trip I'll try somewhere else to compare.

The spa was clean and well organized, with two thermal pools, a regular pool, Finnish, bio, and wet saunas, plus a cold water tank. The hotel is in a great location, with parking on site. Staff were very friendly, the bar had plenty of options and tasty drinks, and the meals were really tasty, though there weren't many choices, especially for healthier food. The hotel looks great and quite modern, but the rooms are very small despite being well equipped. Cleaning just means emptying the rubbish and changing towels.

A really nice hotel around here, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious.
