There’s plenty of green space to relax, plus a pool and sauna, and our room was comfortable and tidy. The staff were very friendly. Still, the price is on the high side if all you need is somewhere to sleep, so other places might suit that better. The garden-view room looked out onto a driveway and a green passage where guests talked and smoked in the mornings and evenings, which wasn’t the peaceful setting we expected. Breakfast had only three choices, and ours wasn’t very good. The decor also felt all over the place, from canopy sofas and porcelain animals to unsettling wall prints, zebra sheets, and neon lights.

We loved staying here. The staff were warm and helpful, and the facilities are great: there’s a pool and gym in the garden, along with a sauna and bike hire.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the garden was lovely. It was also very quiet, despite being close to the center, with plenty of parking and amenities including a pool. The owners were welcoming and helpful, and made us a delicious breakfast with excellent dishes. A really good stay.

The food was a highlight: fresh ingredients, generous portions, and home-cooked flavors, made to order at a very fair price. We felt comfortable and well looked after throughout our two nights at Anna Pension in Herend, travelling as two people with two giant poodles. The hosts welcomed the dogs warmly, and we never felt they were a burden. The place was calm, clean, and quiet, which helped us recharge between programs while we were in Herend for the dog show. The landscaped garden, pond, and covered terrace were relaxing for us, and the dogs settled in too. The room was spotless as well. We had a lovely time and would happily return. Especially recommend it to people travelling with dogs who want comfort and quality.
