The rooms were clean, and the shower was nice. We stayed in a lovely little apartment in the Hungarian countryside, with a beautiful small garden out back. When we arrived, the owner, a very sweet older Hungarian lady, welcomed us with some palinka.

The shower was tiny, the cutlery was rusty, and the old Lehel refrigerator was in bad shape. We were asked to pay before we had even sat down.

A cozy place with a kind host. I’d happily recommend it to anyone.
