We were warm and slept well even though it was -3 outside. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the AC could provide either hot or cold air. The shower had strong pressure and hot water right away. There was also a mini fridge, toaster, microwave, portable electric burner, pot, and pan for making simple meals. The location in the middle of the Jewish neighborhood was hard to beat, with cultural and historical spots, restaurants, and bars nearby. Public transportation was plentiful, and the area felt completely safe. Our host was helpful and attentive, waited when we arrived later than expected, and explained how everything worked. One small hassle: the address differed from the one on our booking reservation. They sent the updated address through WhatsApp, and it was only a three-minute walk away. If you arrive after dark, the building may look old and a bit strange, but that’s common in Budapest. Otherwise, I wouldn’t change a thing.

We had a bit of trouble locating the place, which is at Wesselényi utca 11. Also, when I tried using the kettle, the power went out, so don’t bring an iron if you’re thinking of packing one.

I booked an apartment, then got a confirmation email showing a different total from the price I’d agreed to. The host said the extra was for city tax and something else. I sent a screenshot showing that the price I booked included everything, but they ignored both of my emails. I ended up cancelling. Communication was terrible, and I wouldn’t recommend booking here.

The room looked very modern, but it was so small there was barely room for bags or to move around. The location shown on Booking and Google Maps was wrong by two streets. When I mentioned it, the owner just said, “nah,” as if he already knew and hadn’t done anything about it. Then he got irritated because we couldn’t meet him on time. It wasn’t pleasant being blamed for something that wasn’t our fault.

The apartment and check-in service were both great, and the airport transport they offered was amazing. I’ll definitely use their apartment service again.
