We spent six nights here and had a great time. Jeroen and Lennard were excellent hosts, always happy to help and keen to make sure we had a good stay. We took a Tokaj wine tour, went to Slovakia, did a local walk, and spent a couple of days relaxing at the lodge. There were still places we wanted to see by the time we left, so perhaps another time. We stayed in the Upper House, which was lovely and roomy, with a big living area, dining table, kitchen, and everything we needed. Its patio is larger than the others, while the garden is a little smaller but still a good size. The houses all looked lovely and feel private from one another, with patios screened from view. The shared pool is a good size, naturally maintained, and a nice way to cool off. From our patio, we saw only hills and countryside, no other buildings. The village is small and very quiet, with birds and other wildlife as the only sounds. There are several towns within driving distance, but the main food option is about 20 km away, so you'll need a car to get around and explore. We arranged a food hamper for arrival, enough for breakfasts and lunches throughout our stay. A local woman also provided a couple of lovely, generous meals.

The outdoor space was a highlight, with a barbecue and a traditional Hungarian cooking stove that make it easy to take your time over a meal, especially with few restaurants nearby. There's room to find sun or shade at any time of day, and the clean pool has comfortable loungers and a shower. Jeroen and Lennard made us feel right at home. They invited us to the local village fest, where we had a great evening, shared lots of ideas for exploring the area, and helped with reservations when needed. What they've built here is impressive, and we highly recommend it. We stayed in the upper house for a few days. It's bright and spacious, with plenty of room for six. The owners have thought of all sorts of details, from kitchen appliances and comfy outdoor chairs to screened doors and windows to keep bugs out. The beds were great, and the shower especially mattered to me.

The house, garden, pool, and surroundings were all fantastic. If you want complete rest and quiet somewhere that doesn't ask you to settle for less than the best, this is the place to choose.

We had a perfect long weekend. The house is beautiful, and the hosts are amazing and really helpful. It has what you need, including olive and sunflower oil, coffee, tea, salt, and sugar. I'd recommend this place to everyone.
