Alice Panzio

This worked out really well for me as a cyclist. I write about cycling in Europe for several American magazines, and it was a welcome change from the campgrounds I’d been covering. My room was plenty big, reception gave me an easy spot to leave my bike, and there was a shared kitchen with mini-fridges, plus a lounge with TV. The washing machine was handy, and the “boss” even gave me detergent. The air conditioning worked and was free, and there was wifi too. The owners also let me change my dates when the weather slowed me down, which they didn’t have to do. The price felt fair. I liked being a little outside town, though I can see how some people would rather stay right in the middle of things. I’d read earlier reviews that made me expect trouble finding the place or checking in, but neither was an issue. There’s a tiny pub downstairs, inside and outside, that closes at 10. Even with the windows wide open, I didn’t have noise trouble before closing. My only small complaint was the missing shower head holder. Maybe it saves water, since you turn the shower on and off while washing. If you need somewhere to stay around here, this is a great option.

We were worn out from cycling, so it was really convenient that the owner helped arrange food delivery that evening. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, which was all we needed for our stop.

There’s a useful shared kitchen with fridges and a TV area, and the rooms are nice. The bar is pleasant too, with pool and darts.

A cosy, clean place.
