Tókert Vendégház

We booked 3 nights for a group of 8, but I felt the price was too high for the quality. Before this, we’d stayed somewhere brand new and modern for half as much, and this place didn’t come close to that standard. I could only stay 1 night. The owner could have made the others pay for the rest, but in the end let me stay one night, so I paid for two rather than three. From what the others told me, they didn’t get an invoice.

The owner cooked us delicious boletus soup, and it was a real honor. We also appreciated her local patriotism and the knowledge and experience in tourism and hospitality that came through in the information she gave us. The care she puts into the guesthouse is clear, as is her respect for us and attention to what we wanted. It’s a lovely, landscaped spot beside the forest, just on the edge of the city. We felt looked after and warmly welcomed. Thank you so much for everything!

The garden around the guesthouse is lovely, peaceful, and well kept, and the host was nice and welcoming. It’s a decent place at a reasonable price, but the furnishings are quite basic and old, and the accommodation could use a thorough renovation. The kind welcome and calm surroundings made up for a lot.

Sadly, the photos don’t match reality. The place was dirty, messy, and cold, and the area itself felt like a very neglected dump. The value for money was awful. I don’t recommend it, and it’s a shame there’s no zero-star rating.
